After spending the night with big Canadian Day fireworks, residents of the South Edmonton district of Hazel Dean woke up louder on Saturday morning.
"A few pops, pops awakened me after hearing a loud car this morning," said Wilmage, a resident of Hazel Dean. I did.
"I heard these two bangs," added another resident, Blair Charbonault. "I was waiting and asking if I could hear anything later."
But Charbonneau didn't. That's because the big bangs weren't fireworks, they were shootouts.

Mike Corpuz, he said, living in the neighborhood, saw what happened after 6am through the doorbell camera.
