Environment Canada extends heat warnings for several provinces across the country

As unseasonably hot weather continues across Canada, Environment Canada has extended high temperature warnings in many provinces.

Warnings from the Bureau of Meteorology cover large areas of Southern Ontario, Nova Scotia, Alberta and British Columbia.

According to Environment Canada, maximum temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 30 degrees Celsius, and when combined with humidity, are expected to hit the low 40s.

Cooler temperatures are forecast for most regions on Monday night or Tuesday.

However, heat waves are expected to return to parts of Alberta on Wednesday.

A heat stroke warning is issued when the risk of heat stroke, such as heat stroke or heat stroke, is expected to increase in extremely hot or humid conditions.
