Environment Canada issues thunderstorm warning for Stratford's Waterloo area

Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for the Waterloo and Stratford and Woodstock regions of Ontario.

"This severe thunderstorm line is from Stratford to Petersburg and is traveling SW at 20 km/h," the warning is displayed.

Take precautions accordingly.

Environment Canada says that affected areas could receive as much as 50 mm of rain within an hour.

"Heavy rains can cause flash floods and flood roads. Lightning strikes kill and injure Canadians every year. Remember to stay indoors when thunder strikes. Please!" is written in the warning.
