Karen’s Diner, the home of “great burgers and rude service,” is coming to Toronto.
As per the name, which is often used — and often times, used incorrectly — to refer to cranky women, Karen’s Diner will serve up delicious food and deliciously wicked service.

The pop-up diner, which has locations across Australia and the U.K., is coming to the city for two weekends between April 22 and 30 — though more dates could be added or the establishment could stick around longer “if y’all show up in force.”
According to the folks behind the eatery, customers can expect “plenty of sass, great food and a hefty sprinkle of bad attitude.”
Depending on where you dine out, at least with Karen’s Diner, you know what to expect.
What not to expect? Any special treatment “because it’s all about Karen, and she won’t be taking any of your nonsense,” according to a press release.
“Come have some fun and wind the staff up to unleash your inner Karen and see their full Karen potential,” it read, adding there is a bonus beverage for customers who can prove, with ID, that their name is Karen.
Vegetarians, vegans, non-alcoholics and those with dietary requirements will likely be served a heaping side of eye rolls with their meals — but don’t even think of asking to speak to the manager.

One-star reviews are likely welcome – and expected.
The attraction will transform Toronto’s Trecce restaurant, located at 1792 Danforth Ave., into a 50s-themed bar, a la Lime Rickey’s or Johnny Rockets, featuring grub-like burgers, fries and milkshakes.
Tickets are available online and cost $45 per person. Each ticket includes a burger, fries, soda and an “authentic Karen experience.”
The main feature, however, is karma, where you will “get served what you deserve.”
