Fanshawe College is lifting its mandatory masking and vaccination policy as students plan to return to in-person learning for the fall semester.
Universities report that 65% of classes are in-person, and on-campus dormitories are nearly full.
School officials said the decision to lift the requirement was based on current advice from Middlesex London Health.
"Students and employees are strongly encouraged to wear masks indoors and stay up-to-date on recommended doses of theCOVID-19 vaccine," it said. said Peter Gilbert, Chief Infrastructure Officer at Fanshawe.
"We will continue to follow the advice and recommendations from local public health officials, including the reintroduction of some COVID-19 protocols during the school year as appropriate.

All scheduled events for students and staff, including student orientation and varsity track and field activities, are proceeding as scheduled this fall.
Students can also access student services both on campus and virtually.
An immunization clinic will be set up on Tuesday, September 6th from 1:00 pm to September 6th during orientation for all faculty and students. at the College's London He campus at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd by 7pm.
