Early Thursday morning, an armed individual attempted to break into a Federal Bureau of Investigation building in Cincinnati, Ohio, but before fleeing, the FBI said it called it a "serious incident."
"At approximately 9:00 am this morning, an armed individual attempted to break into the FBI Cincinnati visitor screening facility. north of the city," the FBI field office in Cincinnati wrote on Twitter.
An NBC affiliate reported that Clinton County Emergency Management Agency officials allegedly engaged law enforcement in a shootout with a male subject allegedly wearing a gray shirt and body armor. He was quoted as saying that they exchanged.
The affiliate said police had closed two highways and imposed a blockade in the area.
