FC Cincinnati's three goals in the second half gave them a 3-1 home win over the Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Union on Saturday night.
Cincinnati (8-8-8, 32 points) took the lead with Alvaro Baleal assisting the first to score his third. The 21-year-old Argentinian midfielder has four goals and six assists this season.
It was Cincy's first win in MLS since June 24th. This is his seven-game winning streak.
Philadelphia (12-3-9, 45 points) scored 45 points in his 77th minute against Paxten, who scored from Aaronson but failed to tie for the hosts. With the loss, Philadelphia extended his six-game unbeaten streak and suffered their third loss of the season, their first since June 29.
0-0. After the first half, Cincy made a breakthrough. Scored in the 50th minute when Barreal hit hard on the left and received a great feed from Luciano Acosta. An unmarked Balear sliced the ball in the box, easily homered by Brandon Vazquez. It was his 14th goal of the year for an All-Star striker.
After Brenner scored his fifth goal of the season in the 55th minute, Baleal scored another in his 71st minute. This time he had a little give and go with Acosta in the box. Baleal kept his balance against a defender and scored inside the far post when Acosta returned the ball to him.

The Union fired 15 of his shots, but only two of his hits. Philadelphia also had 52% possession of the ball.
Cincinnati earned his three yellow cards. The hosts had seven of their 13 shots on goal, forcing Union keeper Andre Blake to make four saves.
