Chicago firefighter Wyatt Hommsburg underwent foot surgery on Friday to repair multiple torn ligaments.
Last Saturday, Fire defeated D.C. United at home 1-0, injuring Hommsburg, 26. He has started all 14 games to open the Chicago season, which is struggling to start 3-7-5 (14 points) this season.
In his fifth MLS season, Omsberg has one goal in four shots at this season's target. His only goal in Minnesota United (2018-19) and Fire's 44 career games (29 starts).
