Peel Regional Police have charged two men – one bound by an existing order – and three women with 16 firearm-related and other offences collectively after a traffic stop in Brampton.

Officers conducted the stop on Feb. 6 around 3 a.m. near Rutherford Road and Clark Boulevard.
During the interaction, the vehicle allegedly struck two police cruisers before fleeing and striking a hydro pole a short distance away, causing downed hydro wires and significant road closures.
Walter Coreas De La Rosa, 26, of Toronto, was bound by a weapons prohibition order and charged with seven alleged offences including possession of firearm – contrary to order, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police.
Piero Garcia Ravest, 24, of Markham, faces three alleged offences including knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm; while Brittney Homen, 26 of Mississauga, Alana Smitten-Barnett and Sarron Simon, both 22 of no fixed address, face two alleged offences including knowledge of a unauthorized possession of a firearm.
