Bismarck, North Dakota (AP) — Former Miss America Kara Mundo, who came to prominence with her criticism of the organization near the end of her 2018 term, plans to run as an independent for North Dakota's legislature .
Mundo announced her candidacy on Saturday and said she would begin collecting her 1,000 signatures needed for a vote, he reported the Bismarck Tribune.
If Mundo can gather enough signatures, in November he will join second-term Republican Congressman Kerry Armstrong, an alumni adviser to the University of Mary and a longtime politician. Bismarck's Democrat Mark, who has worked for him, will be up against Haugen. Paramedics.
