TORONTO — Canadian Premier League side York United FC will partner with former Toronto and Forge FC forward Mo Babouli by the end of 2024.

Babri, 29, who was born in Syria and came to Mississauga, Ontario at the age of three, left Forge in January to join Qatar's second team. I joined a Muayzer FC. Tier.

Bavri joined the Toronto FC Academy in his 2014 season and made his first-team debut for his MLS side in April 2016. He played in 16 league games that season with TFC and recorded one assist.

He then played for Syria's Al-Ittihad SC Aleppo (2017-18), and Ligue 1 Ontario's Sigma FC (2017).

Bavry joined Forge in August 2020 and in two seasons he has made 43 appearances with 12 goals and 6 assists. Bavri helped the Hamilton-based team win his 2020 Island Games and finish runner-up to Pacific FC in 2021.

"Moe is a highly creative, talented and experienced player who really wanted to join York United," York coach Martin Nash said in a statement. Stated. “We are particularly pleased to welcome him in 2023 and 2024. He is one of the key pieces as we move forward.”

It took place a week after the sale of 19th forward Lowell Wright to Whitecaps FC 2. This is Vancouver's entry into the MLS Next Pro League.
