The driver and three passengers in the vehicle, all minors, were transported to hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Nicolas Scholtus.
Investigators will meet with the driver of the accident vehicle when his condition permits. As for the other vehicle involved in the race, its occupants did not suffer any injuries. Its 18-year-old driver, however, will be interviewed by police, as will several witnesses.
