After losing two games in a row, Mets, who was in first place, improved to 21-5 after the defeat. They haven't lost three games in a row this year.

Miami starter Sandy Alcantara (7-3) ranked second in the 1.72 ERA in Major League Baseball, admitting his second earned run or more this year. He allowed 6 hits, no walks, 5 runs, 4 wins in 7 innings and raised the ERA to 1.95.

Alcantara, who hasn't allowed Homer since May 11, has given up on Lindo and Mark Canha in this game.

Taijuan Walker (6-2) won, scoring 8 hits, 2 walks and 3 runs in 6 innings. Edwin Diaz threw a scoreless ninth in his 15th save.

New York first started scoring with Lindo's home run. Lindo lags 1-2, firing a few tough pitches and belting a 99 mph fastball that Alcantara wanted to be lower in the zone.

Miami tied the score at the bottom of the first score. John Berti made a single, but was chosen from first base. The Marlins scored anyway with three straight singles: Jazz Chisholm Jr., Jorge Soler and Garrett Cooper.

In the fifth inning, New York led Kana's home run 2-1. Like Lindeau's explosion, it was a two-stroke fastball in the zone. This fastball was one tick slower at 98 mph.

Miami drew a score of 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning as Berti and Chisholm scored a single with one out. Berti scored with Solar's chopper.

New York took a 5-2 lead in 6th place, which is extremely important. Tomas Nido hit infield hits and Brandon Nimmo came in third with a bunt hit. Starling Marte then apparently bounced off the double play.

However, Mets challenged the call and Marte defeated the relay first. In addition, it was ruled that Marlins second baseman Willians Astudillo missed Nemo's tag. It left the base loaded without outs, and Lindo blasted his 3-run double with a 3-1 slider.

Miami filled the deficit 5-3 for the seventh time as rescuer Drew Smith walked three batters, including a full-base Cooper. Then Adam Ottavino came in and let Jesús Aguilar pop out, ending the threat.

Berti was originally called Safety and was thrown out by Nido in the ninth place. It stopped Berti's winning streak of 21 consecutive stolen bases tied for the franchise record.
