Wednesday marked four years since the shooting that claimed the lives of four people in the New Brunswick state capital.
On August 10, 2018, gunmen killed civilians Donnie Robichaux and Bobby Lee Wright,Fredericton Police Department Constables Sarah Burns and Rob Her Costello at gunpoint. I shot and killed. An apartment in Kita Ward.
Robicheaux and Wright, who recently started dating, were shot dead by a gunman while packing up their car in the parking lot of their apartment complex.
Barnes and Costello were the first police officers to respond to the Brookside Drive scene and were shot when they rushed to help Robichaux and Wright. The constable has been considered a hero who made the "ultimate sacrifice."

In 2020, the shooter was found to not face criminal charges due to mental illness.
In a statement, Fredericton Police Chief Roger Brown said the Fredericton community "continues to teach the value of caring for one another and what it means to give and support each other in times of need." there is," he said.
Brown, who was not a police chief at the time of the shooting, said that from the early days of the city's collective grief to his one-year anniversary and the shooter's "very public trial," the people of Fredericton were "extraordinary." It is nothing but a thing."

The shooting was one of three mass murders that shook the normally calm sea.
In 2014, a shooting incident in Moncton, New Jerseykilled three RCMP officers and injured two others.
Then in April 2020, a shooter killed 22 of him and wounded three others in Nova Scotia. This is the worst riot in Canadian history.
