The B.C. government says free vehicle passes will again be required to access Mount Seymour Provincial Park this winter.
Beginning Dec. 15, vehicle day-use passes, which can be booked two days in advance, will be required between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. to access the upper mountain parking lots.

Passes are available to download and print at reserve.bcparks.ca/dayuse.
People can choose between a morning (7 a.m. to noon) or afternoon (noon to 4 p.m.) pass, or book both a morning and an afternoon pass if they want to stay all day, according to a government news release Tuesday.

Since cellphone service may be limited, the government is asking people to print or download a copy of the vehicle pass onto their mobile device before arriving at the park.
The booking system was brought in last year in a bid to protect nature and improve access to provincial parks and trails.
