PARIS — The French Mediterranean island of Corsica sees more rain on Friday after heavy storms hit the region the day before.

Five people were killed and about 20 injured after an unexpected storm hit Corsica on Thursday.

Hail, heavy rains and winds peaking at 224 km/h (140 mph) hit the island on Thursday morning, with two of the victims dying when a tree fell at their campsite. (Reporting by Miriam Libet; Editing by Sudip Kagupta)
