Wimbledon, UK — Gabriella Davrowski and Australia in Canada Partner John Peers will be competing in the second round of the mixed doubles competition at Wimbledon.
The fourth seeded duo defeated Demi Schuurs of the Netherlands and Ariel Behar of Uruguay 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday to move forward in 62 minutes.
Next to Dabrowski and Peers is the unseeded Brazilian tandem of Beatrice Hadadmaier and Bruno Soares in the second round on Sunday.
Dabrowski was the last person to stand in Canada at Wimbledon after Bianca Andreesque, Denis Shapovalov and Felix Ogeriasime were all eliminated in singles.
Ottawa natives are also active in women's doubles with their Mexican partner Giuliana Olmos.
Their third round match is also set for Sunday.
