BERLIN — German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Wednesday expressed disgust at remarks by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas that he said the Holocaust had become less important.
"Especially for us Germans, relativizing the Holocaust singularity is intolerable and unacceptable," Scholz tweeted on Wednesday. "I am disgusted with the outrageous remarks of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas."[18][19]On Tuesday, Abbas marks his 50th anniversary from the attack on his Israeli team at the Munich Olympics during a visit to Berlin.
