Saquon Barkley appears to be as good as new.
The New York Giants star running back is off to a flying start this season with a league-leading 118 rushing yards per game, a two-outing package of production that includes a 6.1 yards per carry average.

With a two-game total of 236 rushing yards, Barkley needs 106 more against Dallas tonight to move back ahead of Cleveland’s Nick Chubb as the NFL’s top ground pounder through three weeks.
FanDuel has set the over/under on Barkley’s rushing yard total against the Cowboys at 77.5 yards.
After being named the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year in 2018 with 1,307 yards rushing, 721 yards receiving and a league-best 2,028 yards from scrimmage, Barkley missed three games in his sophomore season with a high ankle sprain.
In 2020 his season was over not long after it began, as he suffered a torn ACL in Week 2.
Last season he was again limited to 13 games by a low ankle injury and COVID, and in the games he did play, he wasn’t exactly himself, rushing for just 593 yards on 162 carries and picking up another 263 yards on 41 catches.
This season, however, the 25-year-old Bronx product looks to be getting his career back on track.
“Do I feel like I’m back,” Barkley said in August during an appearance on the “2nd Wind Podcast”, per The Sporting News. “I feel like I’m better.”
Barkley is currently third on the bet365 odds board to win the rushing title at +550.
Chubb tops the list at +333, while Jonathan Taylor, last year’s rushing king, is next at +350.
