Oscar Gonzalez went ahead with a 2-out 10th single to visit the Cleveland Guardians and extend his winning streak to five games on Thursday with a 4-3 win over the Detroit Tigers.

Enyel De Los Santos (3-0) got two outs after Detroit scored his two runs in the ninth inning to seal the win. Brian Shaw made his first save.

Cleveland starter Zac Pressac gave up 1 run and his 4 hits as he pitched 1/3 inning with 6 and allowed 7 strikeouts. Sam Hengeth stole his three strikeouts in one and his 1/3 innings.

Cleveland increased his No. 1 lead over idle Minnesota to his 1.5 games in the American League Central.

Stephen Kwan hit his home run solo and Andres Jimenez scored his two.

Javier Baez of the Tigers hit a home run, and Willi Castro gave him one run on three hits. Starter Garrett Hill allowed 3 runs (1 earned) and his 4 hits in 5 innings.

The Tigers forced him into extra innings with two runs in the ninth, but in the end he lost four in a row.

After Gregory Soto (2-7) retired his two-hitters in the first in the top of the tenth, Gonzalez hit an RBI single.

The Guardian scored the first run of the game on his second error on Baez's throw.

Another fielding error by third baseman Willi Castro allowed Cleveland to record his fourth-base RBI. Jimenez said he was hit by a pitch and a missed ground ball by Gonzalez advanced him to second base. After a fielder's choice left runners in the corner, Luke Maile hit a single to right, knocking in Jimenez.

Kwan hit three homers this season, landing in the right field seat and making him the fifth hitter.

Baez hit his team-leading 11th home run, and in the sixth inning he put Detroit on the board with two outs.

Harold Castro is his ninth and he is up against Trevor Stephan. Willie Castro followed with a single and Jonathan Scoop ripped an RBI double. Kelly Carpenter strikes out and Miguel Cabrera intentionally walks.

Delos Santos relieved Stefan, Eric Haas hit a fielder's choice, and Willi his Castro scored the tying run.
