Guelph police use license plates left at crash scene to find hit-and-run suspect

A 19-year-old man from Guelph has been charged with a license plate left at the crash site.

The witness called the Guelph Police shortly after 11:00 pm on Friday. One vehicle collided with two of his parked vehicles en route to Thornberry Court and Edinburgh Road South.

Investigators say the collision caused extensive damage to two of his parked vehicles.

The driver fled but the front bumper with the license plate was left at the scene.

Police traced license plates to Cole Road and Christopher His Court District homes.

Driver said he is scheduled to appear at Guelph Court on September 16th.
