Héma-Québec's 130+ nurses and technicians Has launched one-Wednesday day strike to protest stagnant contract negotiations.
The strike will affect the operation of the blood agency collection center at Cartier Dicks 30 in Brosal, Kirkland, Center Laval and Place Versailles in Montreal.
Travel at Carrefour Dunor's Mobile Clinic in Saint-Jérôme, Saint-Lazare Community Center, Saint-Lazare Church in Carrefour Richelieu, San Bruno Promenade, Eglis de Jesus-Christ de Saint-De-Dernie Saint-Hilaire will also be affected.
Héma-Québec did not immediately comment on the work action.
The union claims that uncompromising management has delayed negotiations to renew the contract that expired on March 31, 2019. In January last year, a mediator was appointed to break the deadlock, but no progress was made.
Salaries, overtime obligations, staffing and schedules are the main issues in contract negotiations.
