On Saturday afternoon, about 100 people gathered at the Manitoba Legislature to protest in favor of abortion.
Organizers say their goal was to raise awareness about abortion in Canada and confuse those who protest it.

A large group walked around the Memorial Boulevard with a marching band and signs around a group of about 10 people who said they were against abortion.
Both rallies are in response to the US Supreme Court's decision to overturn the Roe v. Wade case. It is now up to each state to decide whether abortion is legal. Abortion has been legal in Canada since the Supreme Court's ruling in 1988, but access varies from country to country.

One hour later, a small group left the premises. Despite opposition to abortion, organizer Caleb Geesbrecht said he praised the passion of other groups.
"I don't hate any individual ... I admire them more deeply, even though I have a deep interest in their beliefs," said Geesbrecht.
Winnipeg police were on the scene watching the group, but they did not intervene.

Julie Guard She has been protesting her reproductive rights since the 1970s, saying that overturning the Roe v. Wade case should be relevant to everyone in Canada.

"People here are empowered to withdraw the right that women have fought hard I feel it, "said Guard.
Security guards believe that the majority of Canadians support abortion, but people should be vigilant.
