Richmond RCMP is search for the driver of a grey minivan that struck an 11-year-old boy in a marked pedestrian crossing before side-swiping another vehicle and then taking off.
According to Cpl. Dennis Hwang, the boy was pushing his bicycle in a marked pedestrian crossing near No. 1 Road and Tucker Avenue at around 9 a.m. on Oct. 5 when he was struck by the van.

“This minivan then proceeded to side-swipe another vehicle before fleeing the scene,’ Hwang said.
The boy was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
