An unidentified man is sought for a stabbing in Whitby on Friday.
Durham Regional Police say the violence occurred near Dunlop St. E. and Brock St. S. around 6:30 a.m.

“Officers located a 51-year-old male with life-threatening injuries,” Const. George Tudos said Saturday. “The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma center.”
He said the assailant fled east from Dunlop St.
“Investigators are still looking into the motive for this incident,” Tudos said.

Police have released an image of a suspect who is described as a short male with a small build who was wearing all black clothing at the time.
