Natasha Harrison spent weeks searching for her 20-year-old daughter, Tatiana, who was found dead May 2 in Richmond.

The search took a tragic turn Saturday when police confirmed that a body found in Richmond was that of her daughter Tatiana. Vancouver police also revealed that a young woman had died of toxic fentanyl poisoning.
Harrison said she conducted the search herself, citing the lack of urgency shown by Vancouver police.
Harrison first reported her daughter missing on her May 3rd. Over the next six weeks, her mother roamed shelters, hotel rooms, and tents for her daughter. She has brown eyes, a slim build and wears prescription glasses.
"It was hot on the road and I knew there was only one way to get information quickly," Harrison said.
"I have followed all the clues. I am in the SRO so that I can confirm whether the person found in one of the rooms is Tatyanna, or someone who matches her description. We paid people to take us.”
Tatyanna's case, reportedly missing in recent months, is located in Lower Maine. This is one of the cases involving an indigenous woman from Rand. After the bodies of three women were recently discovered on the Downtown East Side, posters were put up in neighborhoods to alert those still missing.
Through her efforts, Natasha Harrison gathered information such as her daughter's last whereabouts, the Vancouver shelter where she was staying, and the man she was with. She forwarded all of it to investigators on the case.
"I asked anyone, everyone. I even went to complete strangers. I said I was her mother, but they said no in my presence." So I found out that the man she was with was her new boyfriend, and she had been hesitant to tell me his name before."
Harrison spends her precious time before Vancouver Police take her daughter's case. say lost.
She said it took her more than 20 days for investigators to begin a search. "Vancouver police told me they couldn't investigate because missing person files were being pushed to the Surrey RCMP." said he planned to live in Vancouver after moving out of his residence.

When Harrison was searching the East Side downtown, she said she ran into people reporting that she had seen her daughter 15 minutes earlier.
But when she rushed to inform the VPD of a possible sighting, her mother put her phone on hold and waited up to 30 hours, she said. When she reached out to an officer, she was told she had to submit a tip to the Sally RCMP.
"I felt very alone during the search," said Harrison. “Even on Thursday [a week ago], investigators in Vancouver told me they had just submitted a request for access to Tatiana’s Snapchat account.
After Tatiana's case was transferred to the Vancouver Police Department, her mother was able to make direct contact with investigators. She is someone who can offer any tips she has.
Investigators showed Harrison a list of ongoing hints made by members of the public. These will be highlighted in green once the investigation is complete.

"She had memorized my phone number since she was a child. She would have reached out to her," she said.
Harrison, holding back her tears in a telephone interview, said she was always worried that someone had harmed her daughter.
"Tatiana is my everything," she said.
Saturday, Const. Tania Vicintin, a spokesperson for the Vancouver Police Department, saidthat the body found in Richmond on May 2 was positively identified as Tatiana Harrison.
"Unfortunately, we now believe that Tatiana died in another city before being reported missing," Vicintin said. said in a statement.
She said the coroner's office had notified her VPD that she had died from her drug addiction, specifically fentanyl.
