Washington — The head of the International Monetary Fund on Friday emphasized the importance of fighting inflation now to support future economic growth prospects, which in the short term will give consumers "somewhat". Warned that it could cause "pain".
"Success over time (by lowering prices) is beneficial to global growth, but some pain to reach that success can be a price to pay. "There is," said Cristalina Georgieva, who said the IMF reduced growth in the United States. The 2022 forecast is 0.8 percentage points, or 2.9%.
