Jerry Hall formally filed for a divorce from Billionaire's husband Rupert Murdoch on Friday, six years after the pair got married.
The 65-year-old model and actress filed a petition with the California Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the legal basis for divorce.
In her petition, she asks 91-year-old media tycoon Murdoch for the help of an unspecified spouse and asks him to pay attorneys' fees.
In her petition, she "is not aware of the full nature and scope of all (Murdock) assets and liabilities and will amend this petition once information is confirmed. ".
Hall's lawyer, Ronald Broto, did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.
Murdoch and Hall married in March 2016 at a modest ceremony at Spencer House in central London. This was Murdoch's fourth marriage and Hall's second marriage.
Fox Corp's chairman manages News Corp and Fox Corp through a family trust based in Reno, Nevada, and holds approximately 40% of each company's voting stake.
