On the same Thursday night, Kanye West and Danielle Smith proved as much. They each reached new heights, despite the left’s best efforts to hold them down.

For West, who now goes by Ye, his strike back against liberal cancel culture came in the form of a revealing interview with Fox News.
After being swarmed by the social media mob for opposing Black Lives Matter and declaring it a “scam,” West did not back down. Instead, he shined a light on the pressure he has been facing behind the scenes in Hollywood because he supports Donald Trump.
“I never actually told people I liked Trump when he was running because I was bullied by Hollywood,” West admitted to Tucker Carlson. “I stayed in Hollywood and people were like, ‘think about your kids.'”
Most people can’t afford to risk their livelihoods by standing up to liberal bullies. West reflected on this reality. “There’s so many fathers and mothers that go to work every day and they’re in a situation where they’re biting their tongue because they think it will be better for their children. Even me, in my position, I was biting my tongue on my political opinion because I thought it would be better for my children.”
But West doesn’t bite his tongue any longer. He is taking the risk of speaking out. This week, West went so far as to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt to troll Black Lives Matter activists and draw attention to the failures of BLM. The headlines he drew this week have led to Adidas placing its business partnership with West “under review”. Still, West persists.
In Alberta, Danielle Smith has defeated liberal cancel culture in her own right. Smith is set to be sworn in as the next Premier of Alberta, after winning the leadership of the United Conservative Party on the sixth ballot of a close race.
While Smith was the perceived frontrunner for weeks, her resurgence in Alberta politics came as a surprise to many. She left politics in 2015, and encountered liberal cancel culture as a talk radio host with Corus Entertainment. Smith’s views on a number of issues (especially COVID-19 policies) were deemed controversial by social media mobs, and her employer refused to defend her.
Back in January 2021, liberal activists probably thought they had gotten rid of Smith for good. She announced she was leaving her successful radio program because of the toxic relationship between Twitter and mainstream media.
