In his open letter he wrote:

"The overall purpose of making this film is to bring therapy, and the tools I have learned in therapy, to a wide audience for personal use through an entertaining film.

“Through this journey of self-discovery through this film, I have come to realize that I have suffered from anxiety attacks for nearly 20 years.

“I am very grateful that this film will have its world premiere at a prestigious film festival this autumn. I can't wait to help those in need but to see me promote this and upcoming films while I take this important step to protect myself No. You can't stay true to yourself or the movie if you go out and advertise and you feel bad.(sic)”

The 38-year-old actor used to say: He admitted that he was "disgusted" by the open letter, but feels "privileged" to be able to deal with his anxiety without losing his job.

In a letter obtained by Deadline, he added:

"Don't lose your job while dealing with anxiety. I hope this letter and 'Stutz' will make it more normal for people to talk and act about this." . By doing so, you can take steps to feel better and help the people in your life understand your problems more clearly.

"I hope this work speaks for itself. Thank you to all of our collaborators, business partners and everyone reading this for their understanding and support. Jonah The Hill."
