Lexi Thompson was fined $ 2,000 for slow play at KPMG Women's PGA.
Thompson and Choi Hae-jin were fined after being placed on the watch with two holes left. The final group played 18 holes in 5 hours and 45 minutes on Sunday, pushing television coverage from NBC to CNBC.
In that final stretch, Thompson lost a two-stroke lead and eventually beat Chun In-gee.
Thompson bogged four of the last nine holes in Congress and finished one shot behind Chun. Thompson became the fourth runner-up in the majors.
