Actor Roger E. Mosley, best known for his role on the iconic television series 'Magnum P.I.', has died at the age of 83.
His daughter confirmed on her Facebook page that he died over the weekend, but her cause of death was not disclosed.
Announcing the news, Cha Mosley posted a tribute to his father along with photos from his "Magnum P.I." heyday and recent snaps of the actor.

Describing how he was surrounded by his family when he died Sunday morning, she said: 17:00 am.
"He was surrounded by his family and transcended in peace.
"We could not mourn such a wonderful man. He cries in his name. It's time to celebrate the legacy he left us all.
"Dad, I love you. You loved me too. My heart is heavy. , I'm strong. I'll take care of my beloved mom for nearly 60 years.You've raised me well.Rest in peace."
Known for his portrayal of Theodore 'TC' Calvin in the original 'Magnum PI' series in the 1980's.
His character ran a helicopter business and Selleck's private eye His character Thomas He was often on standby to rescue Magnum from danger on the Big Island of Hawaii .
In his eight years, 158 of his episodes were broadcast on "Magnum P.I." He also had series credits such as 'Love Boat', 'Starsky and Hutch', 'Walker, Texas Ranger', 'Kojak' and 'The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams'.
His film appearances include 'McQ' with John Wayne and 'The Thin Line Between Love and Hate' with Martin Lawrence.
Before his father died, Cha said he remembered the lessons he had learned about his father and it made him smile.
They included that he had "a small bag filled with Starbucks gift cards to give to those who have done good."
Ch-a Adds: "Magnum P.I." Hasn't aired since 1988 (although syndication remains). He still receives fan mail from his role as 'TC'.
"These are tough times, but for a black boy who grew up in Watts, California, the life he has led is incredible."
