31-year-old man hospitalized after being stabbed in southwest Montreal

Montreal police are investigating a stabbing incident in the Sud-Ouest borough early Thursday morning.

At approximately 3:20 a.m. he called 911 and was reported to have had a bloodied man near Atwater near Saint-Jacques Avenue and Dépanheur on He Avenue. Police spokesperson Véronique Comtois said he got into an argument with a woman near the Lionel Gruul metro station.

A 31-year-old man was hospitalized with a stab wound to the upper body. His life is not considered in danger.

According to Comtois, a 40-year-old woman is in custody.
