Man, 32, charged in Oshawa murder

An 32-year-old man has been charged in Durham Region’s second homicide of the year.

Durham Regional Police say officers performed a well-being check at a address on Drew St. — near Ritson rd. S. and olive Ave. — at 9:45 a.m. on Friday and discovered a male suffering from trauma with no vital signs.

The victim was pronounced deceased and a suspect was arrested at the scene.

Police know the name of the victim but his identity is being withheld until the post-mortem is completed.

Justin Steeves, of Oshawa, is charged with first-degree murder.
