A Peterborough man will be charged after an incident occurred early Wednesday.
At about 4:00 a.m., a policeman fromPeterborough Police Station Kronscilla said he had a man rummaging through cars in the area of Avenue and Whitefield on his drive. We responded to the report of

When police arrived, they were informed that the suspect had fled the scene on foot.
Police found the suspect running and a short chase ensued. Police said the man eventually complied with an officer's request to stop running.
His 51-year-old man in Peterborough was arrested and charged with trespassing during the night.
He has been released and is scheduled to appear in court in Peterborough on 13 September.
