Man dead in Abbotsford, homicide suspected

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in to help with the case.

One man is dead and homicide detectives were called in to investigate early Friday morning in Abbotsford.

Abbotsford police say shortly after 4 a.m., officers responded to a call about a home invasion and shots fired in the 7000-block of Nicholson Avenue.

When they arrived, officers found one man dead.

Police allege that during the search of the residence, they found a drug lab. The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team are investigating.

Police believe the shooting was targeted, and the public is not at risk.
