Man in custody after double stabbing at High Park subway station

One man is in custody after two people were stabbed at High Park subway station on Thursday afternoon.

Toronto Police say officers responded just after 2 p.m. to a call involving “a person with a knife” on the eastbound platform of the TTC station — located near Bloor St. W. and Keele St. — and a male suspect was taken into custody.

Two people suffered stab wounds and were rushed to hospital.

One victim reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries and the second victim’s are believed to be serious.

The TTC has paused subway service between Keele and Jane stations while police investigate, but shuttle buses are running between the two stations.
