Man killed, taxi driver seriously injured, gunshot in Surrey, British Columbia: RCMP

Surrey, British Columbia — A cab passenger, a 30-year-old man, has died in what is believed to be a targeted gunfire, the Lower Mainland, BC Cavalry Corps said.

The Surrey RCMP said the taxi driver was also shot and seriously injured.

Cpl Statement. Vanessa Munn said the shooting took place on Tuesday afternoon in a strip mall parking lot in the Guildford area.

Mann said the attack demonstrates a "complete disregard for the safety of others."

She says the man who was killed is known to the police.
