Manitoba Offers $3.1 Million to Fund New Environmental Advisory Board

The state is providing $3.1 million in funding to establish an Environmental Advisory Board for the Lake Manitoba and Lake St. Martin Outlet Channel projects.

A new committee will provide advice throughout the construction and operation of the outlet channel.

"Since planning for the Outlet Channel Project first began in his 2011, our government has continued to engage with Indigenous groups and other communities that may be affected by the project. We have been involved," said Transport and Infrastructure Minister Doir Piunyuk.
