Two traffic jams in one week caused theManitoba RCMP to seize large amounts of drugs and cash.
Police said on the afternoon of July 28, a roving traffic patrol stopped a speeder on Municipal Highway 1 in Portage La Prairie, but the driver was killed by a British driver from Columbia. I only discovered that I had an outstanding warrant.
A man from Calgary was arrested and a search of his car found approximately $28,000 in cash.

He moves to British Columbia returned. He is scheduled to return to Manitoba on October 18 for his courtroom at Portage la Prairie.

His 23-year-old driver from Brampton, Ontario was arrested and a search of his vehicle resulted in police 4 kilograms believed to be opium.
The man has been released on charges of possession for trafficking purposes and his trial date is fast approaching.
