Host Miami Marlins watched the Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani play as a designated hitter in the league match on Tuesday night. On Wednesday, they will play against Pitcher Otani.
The club closed the two-game series on Wednesday, with Otani (7-4, 2.68 ERA) playing against the Marlins left-handed Trevor Rogers (4-6, 5.56).
This series is the first time Otani has played in Miami in his career.
With the Marlins 2-1 victory on Tuesday, Otani finished with three at-bats and no runs.
"I can follow him all day and see him all day," said Phil Nevin, Interim Manager of the Angels. "Here we have DH day and we can see his pitch (Wednesday) so we can see all of him."
