Max Pacholetti undergoes Achilles tendon surgery

Carolina Hurricanes forward Max Pacioretti, who was acquired last month, will be out for six months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.

Carolina state general manager Don Waddell said the surgery will be performed Wednesday at the Raleigh Orthopedic Surgery.

The Hurricanes won him 33 years old from Vegas on his July 13th. It is unknown when Pacholetti got injured.

Pacioleti scored 37 goals (19 goals, 18 assists) in 39 games last season. He missed a significant amount of time due to his leg and wrist injuries.

Pacholetti moved to Montreal.He spent 10 seasons with the Canadiens (2009-18) before playing the last four seasons in Vegas. He has 323 career goals and 642 points in 850 games.

Pacioleti enters the final season of a four-year, $28 million deal. He plans to earn his $5.25 million in 2022-23.
