Thursday afternoon, hundreds ofSt. John Seadogfans went out to the streets to celebrate the local team.
Seadogs defeated the Ontario Hockey League Hamilton Bulldogs 6-3 and won the2022 Memorial Cupon Wednesday.
To properly celebrate winning the trophy at Home Ice, the team cruised uptown for a festive parade.

"I'm overwhelmed by joy and excitement. Seadogs, it's great to win the Memorial Cup again, but it's great to win at home," said one of the overjoyed fans. Told Global News.
Divided into two groups, half of the team was loaded onto an old school St. John fire truck, and the rest of the team members jumped on a Canadian Coast Guard boat and were pulled into the vehicle.

Together, the two vehicles headed down King Street to Area 506 Waterfront Container Village.
"Victory with the community" It's a great way to celebrate. We have a lot of families today and it was great to continue their success, "said resident Wendy Anderson of the parade.

Following the victory on Wednesday night, Seadog became two Memorial Cup champions.
Talking to a crowd on Thursday, St. John Sea Dogs president and general manager Trevor George said he could probably use the third Memorial Cup, and his team would be hunting next season. Suggested to return.

"These people here represent what St. John is to me. They are elastic, passionate, and on the sleeves. I've been through the ups and downs with all my heart, but for the last 10 days the city has been on fire, "George said.
Hosting a glorious tournament means that the city of St. John has recently been reported nationwide, and many believe that it sheds a positive light on the region.
"We call it East Palm Springs," Georgie said.
"But since yesterday, we can see that Palm Springs is St. John in the west."
Sea Dogs is the first team to win the Memorial Cup since 2019. Yes, it is the first host team since 2017.
