Middlesex OPP Nub 3 after reported break-in at Bells Road, Middlesex Center

Three people were taken into custody and entered the Middlesex Center on Wednesday night after OPP investigated the break.

At 9:07pm, his OPP officers, including the K9 unit, learned of the break and broke into the Bells Road residence.

Firearms and a bat, according to the police. The intruder was confronted by the homeowner who fled and called the police.

Police said two of his burglars escaped on foot, while a third fled the area by car.

Police located the driver after performing a traffic stop. After some time his OPP K9 unit, not far from the residence, located two of his other men who had fled on foot. All three were detained.

At this time, police have not identified anyone arrested and no charges have been reported.

No injuries were reported and police said there was no threat to public safety.

The firearm was recovered by police and the Middlesex OPP Crime Unit. A forensic identification service aids in ongoing investigations.
