MONTREAL — The vehicle was targeted by an Arson attack late Sunday night in Montreal North.

There were no obvious injuries. At midnight, police had not yet reported the arrest.

The call to the 911 Emergency Hotline was made around 10:50 pm. I reported that a minivan parked on Desie Avenue near the corner of Devande Street in the residential area of Montreal North is on fire.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers at the Montreal Police Department (SPVM) discovered that firefighters had already put down the fire.

No burning object was found, but a man was seen igniting the vehicle before escaping.

An investigating SPVM Arson corps police officer met witnesses and tried to find out what had happened.
