Indoors:
Robert Glasper(8 pm, Theater Maison Nouveau, Place des Arts, $ 56.25 to $ 66.75) .. Hip-hop has been mixed with jazz since before the heyday of acid jazz in the 90's, but over the last decade, cross-pollination has reached new heights in the hands of Grasper. The four-time Grammy-winning keyboardist continues to blur the stylistic boundaries of his new album, Black Radio III, into a continuum of black musical expression.
Outdoors:
Weather Station(8 pm, Rio Tinto Stage, free). Originally from Toronto, Tamara Lindeman is the creative mind behind the Weather Station. Ignorance, the fifth indie folk jazz album, was selected as the finalist for last year's Polaris Music Prize. Lindeman wasted a bit of time coming back with a follow-up, How Is It That I should Look at the Stars, released in March. Breathtaking listening with a rustic voice and piano, studded with saxophone, clarinet, electric organ and rap steel guitar, puts you in a strong presence.
