Montreal police investigate two separate night shots

Montreal policeare investigating two separateshootingsthat sent two men to the hospital on Saturday night.

Police officers were summoned to the first incident at 12:40 am on McDonald's Street in the city's Côte de Neige district.

Authorities say a person knocked on the door of the victim's apartment and shot him as soon as he opened the door. He was beaten in his lower body.

The 34-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and remains stable. The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived. Authorities say the motives are unknown and no arrests have been made.

The second incident happened a few hours later at 3:20 am on Saint-Laurent Boulevard near the Milton Street intersection. Occurred outside the bar.

A 24-year-old man was also shot in the lower body during a quarrel with another man in his twenties. He was taken to the hospital in a stable condition.

The suspect also fled the scene before the authorities arrived and was not arrested.

Both shots are being investigated by SPVM.
