Montreal police seek help identifying suspects in violent robberies

In two of the cases, the victims were left with serious injuries after being hit with plastic bullets or a bat.

Montreal police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects in connection with a series of violent robberies this week.

In at least five cases, two men approached their victims and threatened them with either a baseball bat or an air gun before robbing them of their wallets and cellphones, police say.

The incidents took place at nighttime Dec. 3-5 in the Ville-Émard neighbourhood and the boroughs of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie and Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

Police are looking for two men in their 20s who speak French. Images captured by a store surveillance camera show one man wearing a black coat, beige hoodie, dark pants and boots. The other was dressed in a blue coat, black hoodie and dark pants.
