Montreal police have turned to the public in an effort to locate a driver investigators suspect may have witnessed a fatal collision on Sept. 20 when a Mercedes-Benz struck a pedestrian in east-end Montreal. 

The incident occurred at about 8 p.m. on Hochelaga St. near de la Salle Ave. in Mercier—Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.

Police say the driver of a white Mazda 3 dating between 2014 to 2018 was in the same lane as the pedestrian at the time of the impact and might have seen how the Mercedes was being driven at the time.
