Sunday's Montreal Pride Parade has been cancelled.
The organizers have confirmed that security cannot be guaranteed due to a lack of volunteers.
Pride Montreal executive his director Simon Gamash confirmed to his press The Canadian that the parade was canceled Sunday morning for security reasons.
This is a cancellation. “For security reasons, we are running out of resources at the moment,” Gamache said.
The parade was scheduled to start at 1:00 pm. Along Rene-Levesque Blvd he follows the route for 2.9 kilometers. Between Metcalfe and Alexandre DeSeve streets.
Sunday's parade was set to revive the popular part of Pride Week after his two-year parade was altered or canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
The Pride event continues on Sunday at 2:00 pm on the Olympic Park promenade.
